A number of guidelines direct the accomplishment of the organization’s mission and standardize its interventions.
The standards and procedures guiding SAC interventions include:

- Service Management Policy (adopted January 21, 1998)
- Records Management Regulation (adopted January 21, 1998)
- Treatment of Complaints Policy (adopted April 27, 1998)
- Code of Ethics (adopted April 11, 1995)
- High-risk Situations Management Policy (adopted February 20, 1998)
- Authorization to communicate information contained in the file
- Instructions for handling calls from female partners
- Intake questionnaire and pre-group interview
- Evaluation process for services received
