Possible approaches
Depending on the situation and the identified needs, there are four possible approaches.
- The first is to make an appointment for a quick support and orientation meeting because the situation is complex and requires further examination;
- The second possibility is to become an SAC member and make an intake evaluation appointment (the obligatory gateway for receiving psycho-social services);
- The third is to register for our legal information service;
- The last is to receive a referral to another, more appropriate resource.
Following the intake evaluation meeting, the participant and the caseworker come to an agreement on the approach to be taken: either the appropriate group service or some individual meetings in preparation for participation in a group, or three individual support meetings and a fourth meeting to re-evaluate the approach.
User-members can therefore first be directed to a specific group, then begin another series of meetings in another group, depending on their situations and needs.
